The Hearing evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is  present, and if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.

The  most common and successful treatment of hearing loss is with hearing  aids.  Untreated hearing loss can lead to a deteriorated  understanding of speech over time. Treating hearing loss early rather  than later is highly recommended.

You could be eligible for the government funded Hearing Services Program (HSP), if you are a pensioner or a veteran (DVA) with a current Australian government issued concession card. Upon enrollment you can receive from fully funded to partially funded (top-up) hearing aid and hearing services.
